Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Customer Success & Marketing Specialist to drive both our customer experience and brand storytelling initiatives. This role combines regular field presence with dynamic community engagement and content creation This is an in-person role, with expected time in our Denver office, at our Arvada yard, and in the field, with occasional opportunities to work from home. Reporting to our Operations Director, you’ll provide excellent customer support while maintaining creative autonomy over our marketing and social media presence. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven professional who thrives in face-to-face interactions and can seamlessly translate field experiences and customer relationships into compelling content that drives business growth.
Core Responsibilities
Customer Success:
– Provide exceptional end-to-end customer experience through proactive support and relationship building
– Maintain regular field presence for bin deliveries, site maintenance, and customer visits
– Build and nurture customer relationships through in-person visits and responsive communication across all channels
– Identify opportunities to expand services with existing customers
– Convert incoming inquiries into new customer relationships
– Collaborate with the Operations Director to enhance service delivery and efficiency
– Represent Scraps at community events, trade shows, and industry gatherings
Marketing & Content Creation:
– Execute our brand voice and content strategy across all platforms
– Create engaging, on-brand content using Canva and other tools while maintaining our established aesthetic
– Manage our content calendar, planning and executing compelling campaigns
– Transform daily field experiences and customer interactions into authentic storytelling opportunities
– Develop content that drives customer acquisition and retention
– Create targeted materials for different market segments (residential/commercial)
– Document and showcase our impact through photos, videos, and customer success stories
– Capture and share compelling content from community events and speaking engagements
Required Qualifications
– 2-5 years of customer success experience
– Demonstrated experience managing social media presence and content creation
– Strong project management skills with ability to work independently
– Exceptional interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport and engage with diverse audiences
– Confident and engaging public speaker comfortable representing the company in community settings
– Excellence in both written communication and face-to-face interaction
– Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences (from property managers to residents)
– Proficiency with Canva and content management tools
– Experience with content calendar management and workflow development
– Valid driver’s license and ability to handle field responsibilities
– Portfolio demonstrating both customer success initiatives and content creation
– Track record of contributing to business growth through customer success
Desired Qualifications
– Experience in sustainability or environmental services
– Knowledge of zero waste practices and composting
– Advanced skills in photography and visual storytelling
– Experience developing customer success metrics and processes
– Background in community engagement or partnership development
– Understanding of Colorado’s zero waste landscape
– Experience with CRM systems and process improvement

Physical Requirements
– Ability to lift and move bins (up to 50 pounds)
– Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
– Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
– Ability to navigate various types of properties and terrain
compensation and hours
– Salary range $65,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience
– Clear milestones tied to performance metrics, such as:
– Customer satisfaction scores and positive feedback
– Successful resolution of customer inquiries and support requests
– Quality of customer relationship management and proactive outreach
– Content engagement metrics
– Generous PTO (earned at a rate of 1.25 days / month of employment), flexible leave policy
