Ditch the trash but keep the fun at your next event

Scraps provides zero-waste services for events in and around the Denver metro area. We can work with events of all sizes – from a small private office party, to a ticketed beer fest, or multi-day outdoor music and food festival with tens of thousands of attendees.

We work with distributors & brands who can help you source 100% compostable materials for your event, and with partner haulers and processors  who guarantee responsible disposal of compostables to a compost facility, recycling to a recycling facility, and the little trash you’ll have to the landfill. We only work with events that agree to adhere to our strict zero-waste policies, and who share it with their vendors (food trucks, etc.) as well, to ensure full adherence to a zero-waste protocol. The policies require that all vendors who are producing any disposables only bring approved compostable items to the event. (We will only make exceptions for aluminum cans and glass bottles for beverages – we will not work with events that allow single-use plastics.)

Why are we so strict?

Because we believe that every event, large and small, has the responsibility to do what it can to divert waste from the landfill, and to model effective waste diversion to patrons & the wider community. Because we believe that it IS possible to have a great time and not leave a mound of trash in our wake, and darn it, it sure feels good to party clean like that. Because we give you the support you need, far in advance of your event and until after it ends, to ensure that all vendors are educated, properly supplied, properly stoked on the benefits of waste-diversion, and effectively monitored during the event.
