CMA approved compostables

Scraps accepts CMA-approved compostable items. We work closely with our residential and commercial members, as well as with our zero-waste event partners, to ensure that everyone has access to and is utilizing only CMA-approved products.

CMA stands for Compost Manufacturing Alliance – a group of compost processors and other partners who have established a testing protocol to ensure that compostable products truly decompose in a compost site. You can find our database of all CMA-approved items here. We’ll be sure to keep this updated for you!
