The Scraps Route Associate (CDL driver) position is for folks looking to work hard while doing good. As a Route Associate, your primary responsibility will be servicing Scraps members – picking up compost from commercial and residential customers across the Front Range – along your day’s route. You’ll primarily be tipping toters located outdoors or in semi-outdoor locations, in alleys, parking garages and otherwise. You will occasionally also swap out bags in office bins as well. You will be responsible for helping keep bins clean and tidy on route, and alerting your supervisor to any issues regarding excessively unclean bins or unkempt bin areas. You will utilize our proprietary software to guide you through your route, log your hours, and to mark all stops and tasks appropriately. This includes flagging dirty or unsafe bins and bin areas, as well as flagging contamination, blocked access, and otherwise. You will occasionally interact directly with Scraps members, and you will serve as a representative and an ambassador of Scraps and our mission at all times during your work day. You’ll be expected to drive our vehicles safely and responsibly above all, and to complete your route efficiently.

This is a physically demanding job, requiring you to be outside, rain or shine (or snow!), rolling, pushing, lifting, dumping, and cleaning compost bins of various sizes and weights. You’ll be supported by our small, experienced and hardworking team throughout. And, you’ll have the satisfaction of helping our more than 3,000 members to make composting a part of their lives, with all of the benefits composting brings to our planet and our community.

Work days are Monday through Saturday. Occasionally you may be asked to work Sundays to make up for routes or stops missed due to truck repairs, inclement weather, absences and otherwise.
