Did you know we’ve added another drop-off location?? That means that as a member of our Denver drop-off program, you can access not one but TWO bins at your convenience! And this one is in partnership with one of our very favorite organizations in Denver, @sunvalleykitchen! Sun Valley Kitchen & Community Center provides education & enrichment programs for at-risk kids and families in the Sun Valley neighborhood - cooking classes, after-school support, a community food pantry in partnership with another rockstar organization, @denverfoodrescue, and more! SVK is also a restaurant serving delicious coffee, breakfast & lunch, providing jobs in the community while helping support the group’s outreach efforts. We are celebrating one year of Scrappin with BOA Fit Systems! πŸ‚πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈβ™»οΈπŸ˜πŸš΄πŸΌβ€β™€οΈThis Denver based company has revolutionized the fit of a shoe by replacing shoelaces with a dial that allows precision and efficiency when gearing up for whatever activity lights you up. Not only have they set the standard for footwearπŸ‘Ÿ innovation, but have also led the way in green initiatives as a company. They have been the biggest supporters of Scraps and all 240 employees have been such kick ass composters too! As a company, they have Scrapped over 1800lbs of organic matter!πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ‘ŒπŸ½ Also, following their team meetings BOA employees will spend time picking up litter along the Platte River. How amazing is this! We love these efforts to care of our planet and could not be more proud to have BOA as a part of this Scrappin community! Meet your Scrapper, part 2: Holy moly, our Charlie has been pedaling with Scraps for ONE WHOLE YEAR!! Sweet, smart, sassy, strong, and of course scrappy as hell, Charlie is a powerhouse for our little operation. In fact, as of today, she has single-handedly (or three-wheeled-ly) picked up 51,613.5 pounds of compostable stuff!! That’s nearly 1/5th of our grand total!! It’s hard to believe that it was over a year ago when Charlie found us in the alley (where we often can be found) and said, β€œI want to be part of this.” It takes a special kind of crazy to want that!! πŸ˜πŸ™„πŸ˜¬ Now she’s such a part of us, we don’t know what we’d do without her. Earlier this week they had the opportunity to finally meet at the beautiful Union Station!
