One of our newest Scraps members, Altius Farms, produces hydroponically grow greens in a rooftop nursery in the city, with VERY little waste. With Stranahan’s in our corner, we now have a spot to drop the compost we pick up in the area, and they have a way to compost their lounge & break room scraps! (Their tons and tons of mash already go to Colorado farmers! ♻️🌱💚) Our “dropoff partners” like Stranahan’s are not only committed to zero-waste themselves, but they’re helping nearby residents and other businesses go zero-waste by composting with Scraps. Today we had the opportunity to attend @chookchicken grand opening! WOW was it tasty! But also it is SO SO important to support businesses like this that are on a green mission. DID YOU KNOW we currently service over 30 businesses in the Denver area. This includes restaurants, office spaces, retail spaces, etc! Do your research and support businesses that work towards creating a more sustainable future! (locally sourced food/zero waste practices/renewable energy) When you’re unsure if a businesses is green minded just go ahead and ask! Ask your waiter, waitress, barista, or whoever what their business’s efforts are in sustainability. Let’s spread the word about the importance of going green and how easy it is to just make a lil effort. DENVER all the cool kids are getting on that zero waste lifestyle y’all, get to it!
